Free STEM Workshops for Houston Teachers and Students!
May 3 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
You will not want to miss this exciting, free, one-day energy education development workshop during the annual Offshore Technology Conference.
The Energy Education Institute conducts two events – one for high school students, and another for all grade level teachers. Teachers and students will participate in grade-appropriate hands-on energy exploration experiments provided by the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project.
Because we teach hands-on activities, students do not passively listen to a lecture; they must think through a problem or situation. They develop interpretation skills rather than memorize some correct responses. They learn that they can interpret data, which is a fundamental skill for engineers.
OTC is the largest oil and gas event in the world, and the exhibit floor is filled with exciting things to do and see. Attending this workshop is the only way for teachers and students to tour the exhibit floor.
